Memento Mori Journal #21/365
Day 21/365 — No Tomorrows
Life is short, and time is our most precious resource. Yet, so often, we put off our dreams and aspirations until some indefinite point in the future.
We tell ourselves that we’ll pursue our passions and goals when we have more time, more money, or more security.
But the truth is, there are only so many tomorrows. None of us knows how much time we have left, and every day we postpone our dreams is a day we’ll never get back.
If you have a dream or a goal that’s been simmering in the back of your mind, now is the time to act. Whatever you want to do, do it now.
Don’t wait for the perfect circumstances or the perfect moment. There will always be obstacles and challenges in the way, but you have the power to overcome them and make progress towards your goals.
Whether it’s starting a new business, learning a new skill, or traveling to a new destination, the first step is always the hardest.
But once you take that first step, the momentum will begin to build, and you’ll find that you’re capable of achieving more than you ever thought possible.
Embracing the idea of memento mori can be a powerful motivator in this regard.
By reminding ourselves of our own mortality and the limited time we have on this earth, we can cultivate a sense of urgency and purpose that drives us towards our goals.
In the end, it’s not about achieving perfection or success in the traditional sense. It’s about living a life that’s true to who we are and what we want to accomplish.
So, whatever you want to do, do it now. There’s no time like the present to start living the life you’ve always dreamed of.
- What task/habit keeps constantly getting delayed (That you know you should do)?
- What prevents you from doing it?
- How can you begin doing it ASAP?
Farewell and best of luck.
